That's the administration building for what used to be a toll plaza. In the wake of 9/11, about 5 years after the airport opened, they completely redid the parking strategy to charge you as you exited the lot, rather than a massive toll plaza. They also did away with the hour of free parking for people picking up a passenger. All that remains of the 30 lane toll plaza is that building.
Nope
That's not really the right question. The real question is whether or not you will be able to board the plane, and if not, will you get arrested. Weed is legal in Colorado. Also, TSA agents are concerned about hazards, not drugs. If you are flying domestically out of Denver, the chances of the TSA agents caring about your weed are slim to none. It's just as benign as a pack of cigarettes or a 100ml shooter of booze to them, both of which legally fly. If they do care, they can do one of two things: make you throw it out, or call a cop. If they call a cop, they will not care as long as you are of age, because weed is legal in Colorado. Also, airport dogs are generally not trained to hit on drugs, they hit on explosives. If they do hit on your weed, remember that weed is legal in Colorado, and you are probably not going to miss your flight over it. Flying between legal states should be the least of your worries, since no cops will arrest you when you take off or when you land.

B gate is 3300' long. You should be able to make it just fine.
This is a pretty nice, relatively quiet spot in the airport for a quick bite and a stiff drink. The bison nachos are a favorite as are their selection of margaritas for those extra long layovers.
Some of the best airport food I've ever had and prices are reasonable. I had the pork street tacos which come with a side of black beans and rice. Also a good selection of local and domestic beer
Disgusting and portions were a joke. The chicken tasted canned but had multiple large chunks of entirely raw, pink chicken. Inedible. A health hazard even for a single serving...but think of how long that undercooked chicken is out on the burrito bar. (And it WAS sitting out- not in one of the heated dishes). DO NOT EAT HERE.
Fast, delicious ...and consistent. The staff is friendly, fiercely fantastic.
Excellent breakfast at a really reasonable price. I tried the pancakes with Pork carnitas. Tasty and cooked perfectly. The staff was friendly and helpful. They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner and have a to go window as well. It's fairly quiet, and they also have a bar with sports going in case game is going. I'll definitely stop by again when travel brings me through.
I ordered the Italian panini with fries and my sister ordered a chicken wrap. Our food was so good I was surprised for us being in the airport. And the staff got our food out quickly and everybody was very friendly. I highly recommend this place!
Very good and reasonbly priced #food. Friendly staff, efficient kitchen staff no wait. Relaxing comfortable sitting with low lights. Take the escalator to level 3. There is a take out option. The #skillet breakfast (11.87$incTx) well presented, tasty and slightly spicy and filling. Kids friendly lots of room. Free Wi-Fi across #airportbar. Best airport food option.
It’s quiet compared to other places at the airport, so that’s nice. Service is a little slow. The queso is pretty tasty.
Was the perfect hidden gem before my flight, right near the gate. Good food and good service!
Burritos are excellent! Service, very good although young hostess is indecisive..patience. I would have given it five stars, (for an airport restaurant), except for the music volume...classic rock which I am ok with, but as with most restaurants the music volume is designed to keep the dishwasher happy. Music is supposed to provide an ambiance. Travel needs to be relaxed. Please! Turn it down. Very good food thanks.
I tired a bowl of Green Chili w/Pork and ordered a side of Mesa Brown Rice to go with it. Man, was it delicious! The seasoning was blended perfectly and there were big, tender, bite-sized pieces of pork, making it simply superb. It came with an enormous flour tortilla, wrapped in foil, keeping it center-of-the-Sun hot ( just like I like it 😁). The other items were secured in airtight containers, which I truly appreciated. I had plenty of time to walk down the concourse to my departure gate and settle myself in, without worrying that my meal would be cold. The gentleman that assisted me with my order, at the To-Go kiosk, was friendly, efficient, and quick. If you find yourself at the Denver International Airport with a moderate to significant layover, I would highly recommend this restaurant.
For being an airport restaurant, Mesa Verde is one of the better options here. I got the chicken burrito and it was a big portion - definitely a good choice if you have a long flight ahead. The service here was a bit slower than I would've liked, but other than that I left satisfied
Great service and phenomenal pork green chili
Was seated immediately. They weren’t too busy. Waiter came shortly after. Ordered the chimichanga and cheese enchiladas. Not bad at alll. In fact, pretty good, especially considering this is airport food. Food was out really quick and we were in and out in 30 mins tops. I know some others complained about the waiters, but ours was awesome!
Food ok, TERRIBLE SERVICE ! (waitress) we were waiting for our food after 30 minutes ! yeap 30 minutes! Plus this lady didn't give us employees discount !
I highly recommend Mesa Verde Bar and Grill in the Denver International Airport. I really liked that they had many many types of specialty tequilas. While they were very busy, obviously because it's a bustling airport, our wait staff were friendly and accommodating. We ordered a chicken Caesar salad, and chips and guacamole, and quesadillas. The food was served hot and quickly. I like that their restaurant was on the second floor of the departures terminal because it was a bit more quiet up there.
Great, quiet spot in a very busy airport! The coin margaritas are strong!
Green chile and sour cream chimichangas could use some more green chili and sour cream. Only about a teaspoon of each.Great location and price. Seating a little slow, bothered other guests but we were good.
Beans, beans, beans, nothing but beans, thick tortilla, a little rice, little chicken, no flavor and plenty of heartburn. I described a very good dish I had there a couple months ago with chicken and a dark red and cream sauce and thre waitress brought me an awful burrito full of beans. They were so short staffed so I couldn't get her back to fix the order. Also was tools 20 min wait when 6 or 7 empty tables that just needed to be cleaned.
A great meal along the way! Mesa Verde is a full-on restaurant, not a little counter on the concourse. We were ready to sit down and eat something good, and Mesa Verde was a perfect choice. It is upstairs on the second floor of the airport, and worth the effort to get to. I had a Southwestern Wedge salad, with roasted corn, bleu cheese, bacon, nestled on their signature onion threads - thinly-sliced onion rings. My husband got a beautiful buffalo burger, really delicious.
Amazing food, quick seating, quick service.Compliments to the chefs on the sabana de pollo!!
Huge portions of fresh Mexican fare. Friendly fast service and a fantastic selection of drinks, especially tequila
Design is nice, service is slow and beware if you get only a beer and chips, they'll come ask so many times if you don't need anything else. Is that a super good or super annoying service? Great beer selection, good food. Just the beer cones in half pint but full price. So its down to 30$ for a good beer and chips.
This place is excellent! Came right before the lunch rush. Our server was on point. She recommended lots of amazing food, explained that they make everything from scratch, and the green Chile pork is absolutely phenomenal. Perfect flavor, a little spicy. The green Chile pork fries were also to die for!
Service was good. Tortilla chips were served with three types of salsa. Salsa portions were small but tasty. I had the chicken burrito. Burrito was well cooked throughout but had more of an enchilada feel to it. Would have preferred the burrito outside to be toasted but not a deal breaker. Typical beer on tap with decent options. My date's margherita was good too. A great spot to stop before or after flight 🛫🛬
Even though half of the tables were completely empty they had a mass of people waiting out front and warned of a 15 to 25 min wait. Food was average and service was adequate. Having the server stare at you while you select the tip on a computer screen was uncomfortable.
Nice place away from all the airport noise with good food and friendly service.
The drinks were strong and delicious! Food was good too but their queso was cold. Not sure if that's how it's supposed to be but it was still really good
Marcos G was a great server. He recommended the chimichanga with the Mexican Lager. I was impressed vs expectations of airport food. The price was reasonable & it was a little quieter being out of the flow of the main concourse walkway in Terminal A. It was a little busy, but we're were seated right away. Food came out with a reasonable wait.
Big props for location - 2nd floor away from the crowds! Service was great all the way around; hostess was attentive and seated quickly, the server was fast and friendly. Great sit-down place that can get you in and out.The food was good, not great. Guacamole was plain but came with more than enough chips salsa would have been a nice add?! Pork burrito was good.
Wasn’t expecting much from an airport restaurant but was pleasantly surprised. Maybe the best burrito I’ve ever had. The green chile is delicious. Drinks are a bit pricey and last call is pretty early with it being an airport after all, but overall great experience and will definitely eat there anytime I’m flying out.
Food was hot and great. Took 25 min to cook but that is expected for a busy restaurant
Nice atmosphere for the airport. The Mesa Verde Cobb salad was the bomb!
The food is good and the staff are friendly. I liked tjis place , it was different from your mainstream eaterysI would est here again if ever i was in denver.
Airport restaurant. The food is pretty good. Service can be improved a bit. Very laid back. Would advise to go only if you have enough layover time
Our service was positively deplorable. Only way we got checked on was to get up and go get our server. Asked for sour cream and never got it. I always tip 20% no matter what. We had enough time to sit and have drinks for a while but heck no, not spending another nickel. Food wasn’t even all that great. This is the first negative review I have ever been so inspired to give.
Fairly solid food and decent beer selection. I had the chipotle chicken wrap for $10 and it was about what I would expect, not more. Service was decent. If you can get in you could do worse than here.
Airport food has sure come a long way! We were ready for dinner and decided to give Mesa Verde a try. A nice restaurant with a full bar and really good food. We stared with chips and salsa and I had the chicken and my husband had this huge burrito! We should have shared a meal as the portions are huge. Service as good and quick!
We're traveling on one of the busiest days of the year and every food stop, coffee franchise, restaurant and bar at DIA is packed today. The Mesa is set up to handle the crowds. Our wait for a table was only about five minutes. Service was fast and friendly. Food portions are LARGE! My wife had the chicken quesadilla and I had the veggie burrito. Food was fresh and flavors were very good. Very good selection of draft beers and mine was served I've cold (Milk Stout Nitro). Prices are in line with what you'd expect at an airport restaurant.
Hidden gem of terminal A. Most people don’t realize it’s up on the 3rd floor with no wait for seating. Great food and beverage selection.
Ordered carne asada burrito... Was not disappointed. Food was delicious. Service was the perfect amount of annoying. Food came out quick/hot, and beer was cold and taste. Great place to spend some layover time.
The service was great. The main courses are massive and delicious. The chips and salsa appetizer was lacking - it came with a ton of chips, but only a few tablespoons of salsa.
As a native Coloradan, I love green chili. It’s one of the things I miss most now that I live in Texas. I checked the menu and yep - they have it. I ordered an Angry Orchard cider, guacamole, salsa fresca, and a bowl of chili. Everything came out fast and service was good - I mean, it’s the airport so the standard is a little low. The chili was not good 😕 It was a little more New Mexico than Colorado. The guacamole was great and the salsa was awesome. In fact, I’d go back for the salsa alone. The tortillas served with the chili were charred which was a nice touch. All in all, I’d go back, but I won’t get the chili.
I normally collected it me here and sit at the bar with fairly decent service. Today, waiting for a flight, I had my kid with me so we sat at a table. LaLa was our server and couldn't have been less hospitable or given a care that or chips and salsa took 20 min to come out and when they did they were delivered with out food. She hasn't once checked up to see if we needed more beverages or how the food is. (Still sitting here). My order came out wrong and she didn't apologize not did she seem intent on fixing it. When asking about menu items she had no clue what items were or what they came with. I gets it's an airport restaurant but when my 11 year old notices how bad service is, it's pretty apparent. Upon payment when. I had planned on leaving a cash tip, she insisted I was going to "stiff her" which I ended up doing. I've never had a worse experience
Very good. Had the cobb salad and the ingredients were fresh except the chicken seemed funky (maybe it was cooked and then frozen?). The nachos were great! Loved them- and our waiter was very attentive and quick.
Reasonable food for an airport. Expensive for what it is but your stuck. Good beer selection with some 'Only in Denver' options.
I had a bacon burrito and it took 11 minutes to get it. There was only two people in front of me. It’s a grab and go not a grab and stay. Customer service was about a 2 star as well. Taste is ok. Not coming back here.
Great place to grab some good Mexican food in the airport.
Mesa verde is likely the best place for food, drink and space in terminal A which is the runt of terminals at DIA. Chop house would be a contender as well but if you are solely after a drink go to Mesa Verde. Bar seats also provide electric and USB charging that have not been tampered with.
